It is Saturday evening and here I sit, in my computer room as usual. Though lately, I’ve been spending more and more time in the living room. 3 months ago I really NEVER sat in my living room. Maybe it is because I truly like it now, like after all the changes I’ve made. It is cosy, warm and inviting, and I feel so at home there. It is more me. I think that has something to do with it yes… which is of course is good. I must take some pictures to show you. But of course; you might not like it at all. We all have diverse taste, right!?
Work practice is going ok. I feel I am being thrown into all sorts of scary stuff, not being able to even blink before I have to do them. Yikes. I’ve been on numerous home visits already, both the nice and awkward kind. I do feel that I am doing my best, and that they are satisfied with my work. At least I hope so… They’ve said that I grasp computer programmes and all that exceedingly fast. Well, I would unquestionably kill myself if I didn’t. I was practically brought up by computers. *lol*
I have all 10 seasons and 230 episodes of Friends on DVD, and I’ve watched them all, and finished yesterday. Is it normal to cry unabashedly when you watch the two last episodes of it? No? I thought as much. Well here is one person that did; me! Cried like a baby. I’m telling ya; it is sooo fucking sad when they all leave their keys on the counter and leave. Plus it is over-romantic and touching when Rachel gets off the plane cause she really do love Ross. Am I sad? Don’t respond to that. I already know the answer. Boo hoo…
It is 9, and I feel like going to bed. Now there’s abnormal for you. Let’s leave that subject.
I’ve got no more for you today. Dreary…
Loving my new TV. YAY!
Thanks all for all your nice comments on my B. I am still thrilled by that grade.
Love in heaps

Today
Hiya!
I was trying to make some sort of list. You know like “2007 in a nutshell”. Here is the result:
Lost weight
Was alone a lot
Missed, longed for, cared for, and loved him a lot
Laughed way little
Cried so much I am sure I could water a plantation with the tears
Wrote many (bad) poems
Listened A LOT to music
Went to the best concert EVER; The Who!!!!
Regretted not going to Roger Waters last year
Sang a great deal
Danced
Wanted to be loved
Felt very little appreciated by some
Lent money
Talked to myself
Fantasized
Was sad
Thought and pondered
Felt sexy
Spent too much money
Got new flooring in my flat + more
Studied, studied and studied
Yearned for intimacy
Tried to help a friend, for the 5th consecutive year
Was ill with pneumonia for way over a month
Failed one exam, but nailed it the next time
Was disappointed in a few friends
Had an insane amount of solo sex
Hated that I can’t stop liking him
Talked to an ex from 13 years ago on Skype a few times
Was stressed
Felt happy
Enjoyed nice walks down by the sea
Sat in front of my computer
Became closer to many of my blog friends, which I am grateful for!
Took many walks by the sea, enjoying the gorgeous scenery
Worried, but not about myself
Was exceedingly happy to see friends get married
Missed having someone special in my life, I just miss the twosome regarding life in general.
Was thankful for friends and family
Played "The Sims" ,“Worms Armageddon” and "Dreamfall"
Got introduced to facebook
Bought my monster exercise machine
I know that a lot more happened, but this is the most “important” things. Hmm, let’s review... What can it tell us? 2007; one hell of a crappy year, in many ways. Yikes! Ah well, let us all hope 2008 will be a much better year, in all aspects!! What can I do but to try to look at it with a smile and an acknowledging nod, knowing that I have to make the necessary changes so that 2008 won’t be like this.
I do know one thing I have to do. Just hope it is doable.
I saw this writing on my dear friend Laura’s Msn. It read: “I think love should be irresistible, like a drug, you know? I think when it happens you should just not be able to help yourself”. I just really liked this. Laura always has little cute and true sentences like this on her Msn.
This last week has been kinda brutal. It was super-scary to start my work practice. Sleep deprived like a mad cap for sure! Though I did survive, didn’t I!? The women I am going to work with all seem like nice people. I’ve connected best with one of them. She is really nice. I’ve done lots of different stuff, like made some sort of a social report, made a house call, written case sheets, ++. I work Mondays and Wednesdays at Nærbø, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at Varhaug. They are approximately 5 and 10 minutes away on the train, which is insanely fabulous for me. I am, after all, used to travelling around like a lunatic for hours and hours every day. So, yes, that is one thing that is brilliant with it.
I am so utterly glad that I have an appointment to cut my hair today. It is extremely overdue!! I look horrible. Yuk! Can’t wait to feel better. It’s strange how much one’s hair influences on how one feels…
Cecilie (future sister-in-law) and I went to IKEA yesterday. I somehow forgot, or someone stole, three frames and some cards to go in them there. I can’t find them, so they must be gone. Exceptionally annoying!! I will have to buy new ones the next time I go there.
I’ve lived with a black really rounded 20” TV, for 10 years. It’s been a solid friend these years, but I am thoroughly happy that I now have a new TV. Eva has moved to her boyfriend at Tonstad, and she just like that, gave me her 32” widescreen TV… I felt horrible accepting it, but she insisted, so now I have a beautiful silver TV that is HUGE compared to what I had. Now it’ll be enormously better to watch football. It used to feel like watching ants going about… THANKS EVA! Love you

I am off to the hairdresser's now!

It’s exactly 3 years ago today. What you wonder? Well, it is exactly 3 years since I first saw Bob. Ouch that hurt!! I can’t fucking believe it’s been so long. But it is true. Tragically. I’ll never forget when he came into the room. I noticed him immediately, and the first time we spoke my hands and body shook. First time I met those eyes, it was a revolution. I saw him again this week, twice. Oh, wow. I melt in his presence. But; three years, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!! (I am so not embarrassed, pathetic or disastrous, noooo…)
It’s been a crazy, busy, stressing, incredibly emotional, ill-feeling and tiring five months. I hope that it will calm a bit down now that I am going to be working for the next 5, 5 months. I started my (work) practice yesterday. You know my 22 weeks of training/practice for becoming a social worker (Argh, it annoys me that I can’t find the right English word for work title I will have when I am done. It is sosionom in Norwegian.) During this time I won’t have to read as much school related stuff as I usually have to. We have an assignment to write, and approx. 700 pages to read, but that’s nothing in all those months. I just had over 2000 pages in 1 month so…
As I said; I started this work practice yesterday… I met with the leader of the local Child Welfare Authorities, and she showed me around. I also met some of the others, read a handbook of guidelines for that particular office, talked some and then I went home. I think, and hope, it will be an exciting and challenging 22 weeks. I hope I will learn a lot.
Met up with Eva and her quite new boyfriend this week. It was nice! Hadn’t seen her in ages. She kinda half moved. I hate that, but I am of course happy for her. His name is Erling and he seemed very nice. I hope they will be happy together!
Earlier today I went to visit Rønnaug and her little cutiepie of a boy, Andreas. It was good to see them. In three months time Andreas will become a big brother for a new baby at the tender age of almost 1, 5 years. I wonder what sex the new baby has. My gut tells me it’s a boy, but what do I know!? *lol* Around that time Moxie, my dear blog friend, is also expecting her baby boy. And her Roxie will be a big sister. I know of more people pregnant too… Gee, this is apparently the time for it. *lol*
Right now I am annoyed by my disgusting cold sore growing on my lip, the tilt of my hair, my love for someone, the almost constant headaches I’ve been having for weeks, my anxiety of failing the really hard exam, the fact that I want to sleep all the time, and the fact that I am nauseated now. There you go! That wasn’t a lot, eh!? I am a nagger, sorry. Due to the insane headaches, I’ve just spent almost two hours in bed with a hot water bottle on my left side of the head. It helped, along with ibumetin and paracetamol that is…
Now that I don’t have to spend every waking hour studying I hope I will be able to write more frequent in my blog. That’d be nice. I won’t make any promises.
I am off to do something, what I don’t know yet. Maybe just enjoy my “new” living room… I’ll take pictures and show you the before and after, especially of the floors.

Exam is over
I just wanted to thank you all for your kind and sweet good luck wishes. All of them appreciated, and Moxie; is doesn't matter if you were late, cause it is the thought that counts! Plus, heck, one can't be expected to read people's blogs several times a day in order to keep up. *lol* Hope you are all feeling a bit better now sweetie! Anyways; THANKS SO MUCH YOU GUYS!
The exam was quite hard, and especially part one was a tough nut. One of the questions there was very tricky... However; I think at least I won't fail. Pray to God I won't! But if I do; I know I've done my best.
This is a postcard of my village. Press it to get a larger image... This postcard is form the early 90's, so the village has grown a little since then, but you get the picture. The yellow circle is where I grew up, in other words, my parents' house. The pink dot is where I live now. (oooh can't move too far from the womb we came form now can we!? Kidding!!) None of the houses can be seen on the card. My parents' one because of the trees, mine; well fankly it wasn't built at the time.

I am tired, and I am off to school for a very LONG day of pre-work practise seminar. Yaaawn...
So I better head off to bed

I am broken
I am writing to ask you to please think about me tomorrow. It is my exam... Really a LOT to read. I am beyond broken and torn up inside. I just feel like crying, but I have to be strong until it is over. I feel this one can go both ways. Though I do feel that I know enough to not fail, you nevner know. It all comes down to what the questions are like, and what they are about.
Unfortunately I suddenly got a strong sense that it will be about family theraphy, which I don't want!!! Yikes. Within the psychiatry and psychology there are an insane amount of stuff to learn by heart. ADHD, DAMP, MBD, PANDAS, different personality disorders, anxiety, panic anxiety, affective suffering, neuroses +++ Oh boy!
Ah well, pray it will go tolerably. Did I mention I got a C on the exam I had on December 5th?! Well, I did, and I was really happy with it. Yea!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I am not going to say much more. There's too much negativity going on inside of me, and I don't really want to write when I am feeling like this.
So I hope that 2008 will be a great year for all of you. My thougths especially go out to dear Laura and Elise who both lost a grandparent before Christmas. I can't even begin to comprehend what it must be like. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Take care

yup
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BOB, Helene and Janne today!!
I am all sentimental today, longing after Celbridge and my life there. So I thought I'd leave three pictures which show one of my favourite places in my "hometown" Celbridge. First picture is the linden avenue leading up to what is on picture number two; the stunning Palladian country house called Castletown from 1722. It is the largest and grandest one of its kind in Ireland. And it is sooo beautiful inside. The grounds used to be HUGE, but there are still gorgeous forests around it. The last picture is from the entrance hall with its characteristic "floating" staircase.
Tomorrow is New Years Eve. I will probably write some more then...
Until then; be good! *lol*
Love EV ;-)
